As a business it is a legal duty to maintain storage equipment, warehouse racking, and maximise safety within the workplace on a regular basis to comply with the law.
Routine rack inspections and regular rack safety training ensure compliance and assurances that your warehouse, staff and storage are safe.
Thorough inspection and reporting
The PUWER Regulations (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) states that the inspection period should not exceed 12 months.
RISC would recommend more frequent inspections, six-monthly where there is a racking or shelving installation within a particularly active operational warehouse.
